Deadline for submitting 2012/2013 scholarship applications: March 15, 2012

The Polish Scholarship Fund, Inc. announces that the deadline for submitting applications for ten scholarships is March 15, 2012.

Scholarships will be awarded at its fifty-seventh annual Polish Scholarship Festival to be held at Syracuse’s Clinton Square on June 8, 9 and 10, 2012.

A nonprofit organization, The PFS has presented a Polish Festival for the past 58 years. Proceeds from the festival are the primary source of funding for the PSF scholarship programs.

An all-volunteer organization, the Polish Scholarship Fund has distributed more than $320,000 in scholarship money to students of Polish descent.

Scholarship applications are available on line at
Students are eligible who are of Polish descent, who have resided in Central New York in the following counties: Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga and Oswego for a minimum of two years and who have been accepted for admission to any accredited college, university or training school as a full time student.

Applications are also being accepted for Miss Polonia 2012, who will represent the Polish community at various events and will receive a scholarship.
