“2016 Outstanding Fundraising Event” Award
Syracuse Polish Festival
The Polish Scholarship Fund, Inc.(PSF) An all-volunteer, non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c) (3) fundraising organization, the PSF seeks to increase the number and value of its scholarships through organizing public events that promote Polish culture, heritage, history and traditions.
In recent years, we have reached out to the surrounding Syracuse community and Poles throughout the state. The Polish Festival in Syracuse’s Clinton Square has become the largest cultural event in the history of the Polish community in Central New York.
More than 1,023,000 people (Census 2012) in the greater Syracuse Metropolitan Area, students from Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga and Oswego Counties, are now eligible to receive scholarships. The PSF believes the Polish Festival is the best way to share its culture and heritage in a celebration that both Poles and non-Poles can appreciate. Besides helping fund scholarships, this family-oriented event showcases Polish heritage, culture and the economic potential of the entire Polish community.
The Polish Scholarship Fund has established the Polish Festival as an annual celebration of Polish culture. Through television, radio, press and print promotion and advertising, we want to spread the good word about the festival, Polish culture and educational opportunities.
We believe that helping Polish students succeed and promoting the Polish culture are worthy goals. Thank you for your support in helping us achieve them.
